Acoustic Ceiling and Partition was honored to be part of building Raleigh Studio’s Michigan Motion Picture premier world class facility in Pontiac, MI.
The enormous structural footprint incorporates a wooden grid and catwalk system 45’-0 off the ground spanning atop an area equal to 3 football fields. This wooden grid and catwalk is designed to support a point load exceeding that of a semi trailer and has enough wooden stairs to climb to the roof of the Fisher Building in downtown Detroit. To accomplish the construction of this project Acoustic Ceiling and Partition was required to procure and incorporate over 75 miles of dimensional lumber within the constraint of an aggressive construction schedule spanning a little over 5 months.
