Acoustic Ceiling & Partition Co (ACP) is a commercial contractor specializing in interior and exterior
framing and finishes. ACP incorporated in 1985 and though our workplace has grown and changed
significantly since then, our core values of high customer service and quality have remained the same for
nearly 40 years.
We strive to be a team player and earn our customers repeat business.
ACP employs 150-250 skilled union tradespeople, who specialize in the installation of metal studs,
drywall, light gauge framing, acoustic ceilings, doors & hardware, and rough & finished carpentry.
We are committed to the success of every project and have a long history of high profile projects.
Comprehensive Construction Safety Program
It is Acoustic Ceiling and Partition Company’s (ACP) desire to have all employees go home to their family at the end of the day injury free. These Safety objectives are passed on from our management team to our entire workforce. Job site evaluations and inspections are completed and a custom Safety pre-task plan has been created, tailored to both standard and site-specific jobsite conditions. Safety huddles are completed on a weekly basis.
Keeping people safe is a priority at each job site – whether large or small. For that reason, our comprehensive construction safety program has been created with help and guidance from the Michigan Occupational Safety and Health Administration (MIOSHA). Our partnership with the General Contractors has elevated and mandated a safe workforce and culture for our organization. We continue to maintain low insurance modification ratings with exceptionally low incidents.
ZERO FATALITIES, ZERO INCIDENTS, ZERO INJURIES
Maintaining strong industry safety measurements is important, but it doesn’t go far enough in
keeping our workers safe. Instead, ACP has adopted an incident and injury-free culture with the goal of every project being completed with zero injuries. To achieve this goal, we operate a
proactive safety program with three main focal points.
STAFFING AND EDUCATION
All Supervisors know OSHA standards and have the competencies and training to direct work in a safe manner. All staff will be given the training, resources, and support to ensure compliance and safety. This involves formal safety awareness and training programs beginning with orientation and continuing with tool-box talks and safety stand downs.
PLANNING
Safety planning starts in early in preconstruction and continuous throughout the construction process. Job hazard analysis, pre-task planning and crew engagement at every step helps identify and reduce risks before they become injuries.
OVERSIGHT
Our staff completes safety inspections and safety audits to monitor compliance and quickly
correct deficiencies to ensure every worker goes home safe at the end of every day. Trade
partners are prequalified and required to maintain the same ACP safety standards.
